COMMUNITY GRANTS

1.Major Events Grants

Not-for-profit community organisations are eligible to apply for funding towards the cost of major festivals, events or promotions being held in the Northern Midlands.   (Major events, festivals or promotions are defined as significant events that are the only one of their kind in the Northern Midlands in any one year, and attract significant numbers of people - generally in excess of 2,000 - and/or attract significant media coverage for the Northern Midlands).   Assistance maybe 'in kind' or a grant - or a combination of the two methods.

The opening of the grant round is advertised in the Examiner and Country Courier in February/March and September/October each year.

2.Community Minor Capital Works Grants

Northern Midlands community/sporting organisations and not-for-profit organisations are eligible to apply for funding towards special or capital works for the improvement/ benefit of Council or community owned assets.  Assistance may be 'in kind', by way of a loan or grant - or a combination of these methods.

The opening of the grant program is advertised in the Examiner and Country Courier in February/March each year.
