Early Childhood Educators

The Northern Midlands Council is seeking to recruit suitably experienced and qualified Early Childhood Educator’s to join the Midlands Rural and Remote Childcare Service.
Reporting to the Childcare Director, the successful applicants will provide support and care for children under the centre’s responsibility, in accordance with children’s individual development plans, centre policy and relevant legislation.
These positions are being offered on a part-time and casual basis and the terms and conditions of employment, including salary will be in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement.
For your application to be considered, you must have completed a minimum Certificate II in Children’s Services, hold a current Working with Vulnerable People Registration and preferably hold a current First Aid Certificate.
Applicants will also have previous experience working in a similar position within a childcare service; excellent communication skills, including active listening skills; a sound understanding of the health and safety risks involved in working with children and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience and kindness.
