Municipal Worker - Leading Hand

The Northern Midlands Council are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Municipal Worker – Leading Hand who will be responsible for assisting with road construction and maintenance of all municipal services across the municipality, in addition to providing leadership and support to Works employees, in the capacity of Leading Hand.
We are looking for somebody who has civil construction experience and the working knowledge and operation of various plant and equipment relevant to the position. Similarly, our successful candidate will have general knowledge of Council’s works, previous supervisory experience, good communication skills, be able to relate to people, be a team player and have good work ethics. A current drivers licence and the commitment to maintaining this is a pre-requisite for this position.
This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis and the terms and conditions of employment, including salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant, in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement 2016-2019.
