Community & Development Manager

The Northern Midlands Council is seeking to appoint a Community & Development Manager on a full-time basis, based in Longford, Tasmania.
The successful applicant will be responsible for and manage Council’s Community and Development Department, which includes the functions of building, planning, compliance, environmental health, animal control and tourism and events. For your application to be considered, you must have tertiary qualifications in Planning and demonstrated people management experience in a similar position. A working knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation and a current driver’s licence are also prerequisites.
You will have the ability to manage, lead, coach and motivate others; have a high level of verbal and written communication skills; have excellent interpersonal skills; time management and organisational skills; strong negotiation and problem-solving skills and demonstrated proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite.
Terms and conditions of employment, including remuneration will be in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement 2019-2022.
