Early Childhood Educator/s

The Northern Midlands Council is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator’s.
These positions are being offered on a casual basis and will work across the Midlands Rural and Remote Childcare Services located at Perth, Longford and Cressy.
The successful applicants will provide care and support for children under the centre’s responsibility, in accordance with individual children’s development plans, centre policy and relevant legislation; including the supervision of the Centre for short-term absences of the Assistant Director. These positions will also provide educational leadership to Educators with lesser qualifications and experience with regards to planning for individuals and groups, challenging behaviours and disabilities.
Terms and conditions of employment, including salary will be in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement.
For your application to be considered, you must have completed a Diploma in Children’s Services or similar, in addition to having proven experience in a childcare setting. You must also have a current Working with Vulnerable People Registration and up to date First Aid certification.
You will also have excellent communication skills, including active listening skills; a sound understanding of the health and safety risks involved with working with children and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience and kindness.
