The Northern Midlands Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Youth Officer, to work part-time (24 hours per week) and based from our office at Longford.

The successful applicant will be responsible for networking and working collaboratively with various agencies and organisations to identify, develop, implement and evaluate initiatives that address the myriad of issues impacting on young people within our municipality.

For your application to be considered, you must have previous experience in a similar position and it is desirable that you have tertiary qualifications in the field of Social Science or Youth. In addition to this, you will have well developed communication skills, proven ability to develop, maintain and coordinate networks and gather resources, excellent interpersonal skills – to build positive working relationships with key stakeholders and experience in managing projects. Terms and conditions of employment and remuneration for this position will be offered in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement 2016-2019.
